Build Your Self-Confidence

Whether you want to earn more money, garner more respect from your peers, or progress more rapidly in your profession, the same advice applies: Build your self-confidence.

Many engineers I know were drawn to engineering in the first place because they're smart, creative, and great at problem-solving. They want to make a difference in the world, and enjoy building and working with complex systems. They love the intellectual challenge.

Unfortunately, they're not always so confident when it comes to their people-skills. If you're currently more comfortable in front of a screen than you are in front of an audience, it's time to build your self-confidence. The guys on The Big Bang Theory are hilarious, but their lack of real social skills and true self-confidence undermines them every time. If you want to build confidence, check out the Confident Man e-book.
